Moral Philosophy A2

I will shortly be adding some more materials to help you with your Moral Philosophy A2 (AQA Philosophy A level) work on Moral Truth, Denial of Moral Truth and Moral Decisions. In the meantime, the following resources are useful but definitely need to be thoroughly supplemented with your notes.

Moral Truth and the Denial of Moral Truth: Meta-ethics

This prezi gives some basic information about some of the theories but you also need to know about God-independent transcendent truth, moral truths as relational properties and cultural relativism.

In the Moral Decisions part of the course you need to know about three key approaches: Deontological Ethics (e.g. Kant), Consequentialist Ethics (e.g Utilitarianism), and practical wisdom (associated with Virtue Ethics). You also need to be able to apply these theories to either abortion, euthanasia or our treatement of the environment.
